PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (AP) -- Pigeon Forge, Tenn., in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains could be getting riding stables and passenger balloon rides.
Officials have unanimously approved amendments to the resort town’s zoning ordinance, but a further vote is needed.
According to The Mountain Press, businesses are waiting to take advantage of both.
Officials said the riding stables rules were developed with advice from the National Park Service, which oversees horse riding operations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
